Description
SSK currently has the following career opportunity at its full subsidiary, SSK Animal Feed Manufacturers in Humansdorp. The suitable candidate, who will report to the Maintenance Manager, will be responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment at the Animal Feed Plant.

Requirements

• Mechanical and maintenance skills and knowledge
• Knowledge about the following areas of expertise:
  • Electric motors, generators, and compressors
  • Elevator, transfer chains, and conveyor belts
  • Welding and cutting of plant materials
    
  • Operating Auger and hammer mills
  • Pill machines and steam boilers
• Installation, wiring, and troubleshooting
• Planning and execution of maintenance
• Effective control of personnel and inventory

Requirements

• Appropriate qualification/ proof of competence
• At least three years of relevant experience
• A valid Code EB (Code 08) driver’s license
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
  
• Health and Safety training will be an advantage
